About me and my practice

My journey through counselling allowed me the unique opportunity to unravel the confused emotions embedded within, I was able to realise my deep need to be accepted for who I was. This released me from the misguided belief imposed on me from the past.
What can you expect from me? I believe it is important to create an environment where you feel safe and supported to empower you to explore your feelings and emotions without judgement and at your own pace.

Reaching out for support can be both the hardest thing to do but also the most rewarding, when you prioritise yourself. Through your counselling journey you can explore the deep emerging and often hidden emotions, setting yourself on the path of recovery. Accepting what you cannot change, yet taking control over what happens in your life, moving forward.

Whoever you are, you're welcome, whether you are looking for a space to offload or perhaps you are just tired of pretending everything is fine. Together we can look at this, where is it coming from, and what impact it is having on your day-to-day life.

Experience

I have over 10 years of experience which includes supporting adults suffering from the effects of domestic and sexual abuse, survivors of childhood sexual abuse, bereavement, and loss. As well as people struggling from a wide range of lifes challenges including relationship difficulties, family conflicts, substance misuse, anxiety, depression, panic attacks, lack of confidence, self-harm, anger as well as aggression. This is not an exhaustive list, I have experience in many other fields, and this gives an indication of the work I have done.
